About Darlene
Darlene Alferes, a native of Massachusetts, holds broker licenses in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She moved to the lower keys 4 years ago and is now a full time agent in our Marathon and Big Pine offices. She first began her real estate career in 1991 with Century 21 until her parents opened their own family real estate business, Alferes Realty, Inc., in 1993. Her parents retired, and Darlene ran the business for 7 years until merging with a larger multi-location real estate firm, Amaral & Associates Real Estate. She managed their New Bedford, Massachusetts location for the last 3 years. Her 33 years of knowledge, training, and management, in coastal communities is a great asset to our growing family at Berkshire Hathaway. Darlene has always been a top multi-million dollar agent with many awards and accomplishments, including being voted multiple times by the south coast community the number one real estate company ‘Best of the Best’.
